New Database - Thaddeus

This week we are beginning the implementation of the new database that will be organizing your orders and customer information. We have been developing this program for several years and we are excited that we can begin to implement the solution. While the new program is extremely powerful in its ability to manage account, scheduling and special preference information all of your customer information msut be added to the new solution. While we are doing everything in our power to transition to the new database as seamlessly as possible, there will be some errors and missed deliveries. Please be patient with us for the next weeks while we settle into the new system.

With the new system there will be some changes to the service we provide. The following is a brief summary of changes that will be made.

Specials: The new system will allow us to customize your box more precisely and accurately based on what you never want to receive or what you always want to receive more of. Changes in items that are more or less the same value will not result in a price change of the service. However, based on the changes made to your box, the price of your service may slightly decrease or increase to account for the varying values of different products.

Monthly Schedules: One new restriction of the system is that reoccurring deliveries need to happen based on a set number of weeks. This will change nothing for weekly and every-other-week customers. But monthly customers will be changed to an every-four-week schedule. This means that previously monthly customers will begin receiving one box every four weeks – which means that there are months when you will receive two boxes. If you wish to only receive boxes the first week of the month you will need to set up an “On-Demand” account and notify us the week you would like to receive your box.

Deadline for Changes: Cancellations of orders or special changes to orders must be made by 11:00 AM the day before you are scheduled to receive your delivery. After 11:00 AM the orders for the follow day need to be placed so that we have time to accurately harvest and pack the boxes. Changes requested after 11:00 AM the day prior to your delivery will not be able to be processed.

Things for the Future: We are working towards allowing customers to access their accounts on-line to view their personal preferences, billing, shipping and account information. With the new system we are also working towards providing an availability of case quantities of produce delivered to your door as well as allowing you to select specific farms you always or never wish to receive produce from.

This new system will significantly increase the level of service Farm Fresh to You will be able to provide its valued customers. Please be patient with us while we transition to the new computer system. Thanks for your support! Thaddeus
