Swiss Apple Pudding
| 6 | Fuji apples, peeled and sliced | 1/2 | teaspoon ground nutmeg |
| 1 | cup all-purpose flour | 1/8 | teaspoon ground cloves |
| 1/2 | cup sugar | 1 | egg, lightly beaten |
| 3/4 | teaspoon baking powder | 4 | tablespoons butter or margarine |
| 1 | teaspoon ground cinnamon | 1/2 | cup water |
| 1/2 | teaspoon ground ginger | | |

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Distribute apple slices evenly in lightly greased 2-quart baking dish. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. Add egg; mix until crumbly. Sprinkle flour mixture over apples to cover. Dot with butter; drizzle with water. Bake 30-40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golder brown. Serve warm. Serves 8.
