Steamed Vegetable Medley
| 4 | medium carrots, scrubbed and cut into 1-1/2-inch sticks |
| 10 | ounces green beans, trimmed (1 bag is 1 pound) |
| 1 | small onion, slivered |
| 1 | red pepper, stemmed, seeded, and slivered |
| Salt |
| Pepper |
| Lemon juice from 1/2 lemon |

Place carrots, beans, and onion in steamer set over boiling water. Steam, tightly covered, until not quite tender (5 to 6 minutes). Place in a serving dish. Add peppers and toss. Squeeze the lemon juice over the vegetables and serve.
