About the producer
Nikki Peterson founded Shady Cat Social Club to create fun cat products with a vibe she couldn’t find elsewhere, to grow and align with like-minded artists and especially as a way to donate cats and profits to nursing homes and pet therapy teams. As a Registered Nurse, Nikki enjoyed working with the elderly including Alzheimer's and dementia patients, and experienced firsthand the transformation in their mood when they got to hold or pet a cat or dog. As a healthcare professional trying to figure out how to keep patients happy, when communication issues were present, Nikki saw how contentment and peace could come from the unconditional love of a pet, no words needed.
