About the producer
Irlanda Montes grew up cooking alongside her mother and three sisters, and the recipes from that kitchen are the ones she still uses. Chica’s Chips began at local farmers markets, where Irlanda sold chips and salsa made the way her family always made them, on the belief that food and joy belong together.
Rather than sheeting and cutting raw masa, Chica’s bakes full tortillas first, cuts them into quarters, then fries and seasons them. The extra step gives the chips their signature crunch.
