Heat a grill or grill pan to low heat. Trim off a thin layer of the root making sure to keep the onion intact. Cut off the dark green portion of the spring onion and set aside. Brush the onions with a little olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and place on the grill or grill pan. Cook until the onions are soft and tender, about 10-15 minutes, turning over frequently. When they are almost done, place the dark greens on the grill and cook them until they are nicely charred and soft, about 1 minute.
Place both the bulbs and greens on a serving tray or plate and sprinkle with the feta cheese. Squeeze a little lemon juice over the top and season to taste with salt and pepper.
