House Kombucha is brewed in the traditional way, steeping delicious tea until it is nice and strong, then hiding it away in a dark room to ferment. This carbonated Citrus Hibiscus Kombucha is made from smooth Assam tea blended with tart Hibiscus flowers and organic orange lemonade. This kombucha is on the dryer side and does not have a strong vinegar flavor that is typical of some kombuchas.
About the producer
Rana Lehmer-Chang graduated from law school in 2009. The economy was down, the job market was slow, and she was struggling financially. In an effort to save money, she learned how to brew her own kombucha at home. It turned out that she was quite good at it, so she began bottling the beverage and selling it at local farmers markets. Today, House Kombucha is well known throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for its distinctive, exquisite taste. House Kombucha values quality craftsmanship, health and safety, local economic development, and environmental stewardship. The company donates 5% of profits to Bay Area organizations serving youth and the community.
