About the producer
Robert and Isabel Sanchez came to San Francisco in the early 1900’s from Mexico, carrying their 20-pound wrought iron tortilla press. They opened the first mechanized tortilla factory in Northern California and sold tortillas by the pound, wrapped in paper tied with string. Señor Sanchez insisted on using only 100% natural, California-grown ingredients in his products. Through hard work and with the help of their children, the business grew to a wholesale mexicatessen, offering a variety of salsas, chips and tortillas.
