This paprika-based blend has notes of allspice, nutmeg and sage plus sugar for a nice caramelized finish. Try rubbing on pork chops for the grill or the pan. Also use on ribs and chicken.

In 2011, John Beaver and Erica Perez opened Oaktown Spice Shop in Oakland, CA after nearly 2 years of planning and preparation. John had worked in a family-run spice shop as a teen, and now, surrounded by a vibrant food community, they decided it was the right time and place to source, freshly grind and share the world’s finest spices.
Since then, the business has grown to a full team of employees, two retail shop locations and a growing number of restaurants, bakeries, chocolatiers and candy makers who source their spices from John and Erica. They focus on sourcing the best-tasting version of each spice as well as creating their own special blends such as Grand Lake Shake and Oaktown Sweet Heat BBQ Rub.
