About the producer
Inspired by the ancient Japanese tradition of mochi treats made with rice grains and spring water, Mika Shino developed a plant-based snack for her family with no gluten, nuts, dairy, soy, artificial flavors, chemical stabilizers or excess sugar. She wanted to instill the same spark for life through food she acquired as a child in Japan into her own children and cultivate cultural pride of their Asian roots and its culinary traditions.
Mochi gummies are a soft, chewy treat that are delicious right from the bag or used as toppings for ice cream, yogurt, oatmeal or pudding. Mika’s goal is to create innovative, beautiful, healthy, delicious foods that make people happy, honor her heritage and transform community through her core values, building bridges across cultures through food.
