Mariani Marcona Almonds are lightly roasted in olive oil and sea salted to give that perfect buttery taste. This variety originated in Spain, but are now grown in sunny California. Marcona almonds are commonly paired with wine or cheese, but are also a delectable snack on their own. Not certified organic.
About the producer
Mariani Nut Company was founded in 1972 by cousins Jack and Dennis Mariani who discovered a perfect micro-climate for nut trees 60 miles northeast of San Francisco in the town of Winters, California. The company initially began as a very small processor that mainly handled the walnuts from its own orchards. Later, when Jack’s brother Martin joined the company, they ventured into the almond industry and further expanded the operation.
Over the intervening decades, Mariani Nut has grown steadily, due in large part to the quality-conscious growers whose product they process. In addition, they have a highly dedicated and skilled employee base, allowing them to consistently meet customers’ specifications and expectations.
