Joolies dates have been grown with love on the Kohl Family Farm for nearly two decades. The farm’s ideal location in the Coachella Valley allows them to harness the power of the California sunshine year-round. Their single-source, certified organic dates are hand-picked in three rounds during harvest to ensure perfect ripeness. The rich sandy soil on the farm lets them get away with minimal intervention; no pesticides, herbicides or fungicides are used. With sustainability at the top of their priorities, they have finely tuned their water needs using drip irrigation, and they find a way to use absolutely everything—from reusing palm fronts as fertilizer, to upcycling lower-grade fruits into date syrup and cull into cattle feed. They also use less than 2g of plastic per container, and their paperboard packaging material is sourced from recycled materials.
