The original vertical stripe mug! These simple yet elegant ceramic coffee mugs feature glazes and clays that are inspired by the colors of the California high desert. Although the mug is lightweight, it has a wide base and straight walls, making it sturdy and hard to knock over. They have a graceful pulled handle that feels great in your hand, and the sides have a minimalist vertical stripe revealing the clay body underneath the glaze. Each mug is made by hand, and therefore the size and shape will vary slightly. Not certified organic.
These mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe, and are designed to be used day in and day out.
Hold roughly 12-14 fluid ounces.
This glaze is satin white on a beige speckled clay body.
About the producer
ZZIEE Ceramics is the work of Elizabeth Eisenstein, a potter based in Yucca Valley, CA. Coming from a fine arts background, she enjoys making work that straddles the divide between pottery and sculpture, while drawing inspiration from the textures, colors, and shapes of the Mojave desert. Every object is handmade by Elizabeth on her potter's wheel and fired in her studio located in downtown Yucca Valley, right outside Joshua Tree National Park.
