About the producer
Amylu started learning traditional European sausage making from her Grandpa Leon while she was still in grade school. He had founded Leon’s Sausage Company in Chicago in 1924 to share the Old World recipes that he’d brought with him from Europe. Amylu loved working side-by-side with her grandfather, and she discovered her passion and talent for making delicious and creative sausages. After purchasing the business in 1991, Amylu began research and development on all-natural chicken sausages that were grounded in Old World artisan sausage-making. Today, Amylu Foods makes a variety of creatively seasoned sausages, burgers and meatballs with no nitrites, no nitrates, no added MSG, no preservatives, and no artificial anything.
