Founded in 1976 by Jeremy Thaler and Constance Potter, Once Again Nut Butter began in an 800-square foot basement with a simple idea: to roast bulk nuts and produce nut butter. Originally inspired by their background in worker-owned cooperatives and sustainable farming, the founders embarked on a journey to create organic, gluten-free peanut butter and natural nut butter products. Their commitment to quality and sustainability has shaped Once Again into a renowned name in the industry.
Driven by a passion for community and organic farming, Jeremy and Connie’s entrepreneurial spirit led them from Madison, Wisconsin to Rochester, New York, where they established their first worker cooperative distribution and bakery. Since those early days, Once Again Nut Butter has grown while staying true to its roots, focusing on producing products with integrity and a dedication to sustainability.
