Located in Sonoma and Marin counties, Pasture Fresh Eggs farms produce delicious and nutritious eggs because of their unique farming style and high standards. Their ladies are always on pasture and are never given antibiotics or hormones. This humane approach allows the chickens to act in their natural behavior; being able to run, jump fly and roll and dust their bodies in rich soils for natural skin protection. Their coops allow for ample perching and nesting to lay their eggs. Each flock has different breeds of chickens, which means that eggs may be different colors. This gives the eggs a unique look that is not typically found in the grocery store.

Hens spend all day foraging organic fields for grass, bugs and worms. Additionally, they are supplemented a poultry feed specially designed for their age and activity level. This ration contains grains (corn) and soy bean meal.
About the producer
Pasture Fresh Eggs is a sixth-generation farm. Their laying hens are truly pasture-raised. With both mobile and stationary housing systems, their hens live centrally-located in large pastures. The hens are never locked indoors, as they keep the houses open allowing for 24-hour access to the field. They utilize high and tight fencing, guard dogs and fox lights to protect their flocks from predators.
The hens have both indoor and outdoor feed and water. This, along with shade structures encourages outdoor living. They are provided with both dirt areas to encourage natural behavior. Dirt provides scratching and dusting areas which allow for healthy skin. Grass changes all year and gives hens a feed to graze on, shelter and a material to scratch. The hens are also fed a supplemental organic, non-GMO feed that is specifically made for their age.
