This vegan sourdough bread, made by Frogs Bakery, is made with a probiotic natural starter and a long fermentation process to develop a strong taste very much appreciated by sourdough aficionados. We love to enjoy it simply toasted with a smear of organic butter or as a delicious dipper with soups and chili. Frogs Bakery uses a home-grown starter dough (or "levain") to add to the aroma and texture of their breads. They are committed to using organic flours and natural ingredients with no preservatives, additives or artificial flavors. Egg and dairy free.
About the producer
Since 2010, Frogs Bakery has been turning flour, water and yeast into works of art – for both the eyes, and the palate! Though they originally opened their doors in Tuscon, AZ, it wasn’t long before their products gained popularity, and they realized they needed to expand. In 2013, the team built a new production bakery and moved their operations to Gardena, CA where they are located today. Under the direction of owners Marc and Isabelle Lory, the team at Frogs turns out a multitude of beautifully buttery French pastries and artisan breads. They offer a handful of certified organic breads, and all of their products are all natural, made with organic flour, and contain no preservatives, shortening or artificial colorants.
