
Braised red cabbage is pretty and super easy to make. The sweet tangy flavor is a perfect accompaniment with any meal.
INSTRUCTIONS
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the cabbage and cook until it begins to soften, 1 to 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in the water, red wine and balsamic vinegar. Mix in the sugar and caraway seeds.
Cook, stirring frequently, until the liquid has evaporated and the cabbage is tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. If necessary, add a splash of water and continue cooking a few more minutes.
