
Adding celery to mashed potatoes gives the potatoes a little more depth and flavor. Though great by itself, this dish also goes well with gravy.
INSTRUCTIONS
In a large pot of salted water, cook the potatoes, celery and garlic until tender, about 12 minutes.
Drain the potatoes, then return them to the pot. Add the butter and cream and mash well. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the mashed potatoes to a bowl and garnish with celery leaves if desired.
