Creamy Tomatillo Dressing

Though we love this as a salad dressing, it’s also great as cream sauce for tacos or a veggie dip!


makes 1 (16 oz) Mason jar


3 tomatillos, husked, washed and coarsely chopped

½ cup buttermilk

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup plain yogurt

2 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped

1 tablespoon chives, minced

1 teaspoon dill, minced

½ bunch cilantro, roughly chopped

1 teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoons lime juice

1 teaspoon sea salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ jalapeno, minced (veins and seeds removed)



Puree all of the ingredients, except the jalapeno, in a blender or food processor until smooth. Whisk in the jalapeno. Chill at least 30 minutes before using.
