Featuring the pulp of the coffee cherry, Cascara, grown in the mountains of El Salvador by a fifth generation woman farmer, these teas are naturally sweet and contain a small amount of caffeine. Cascara’s flavor is very different from coffee, sweet and fruity with notes of cherry, raisins, and even caramel. Farmers have used it for years to make tea infusions, but it is typically regarded as a by-product by the coffee industry and composted or discarded.
