These organic, cage-free eggs are produced in hen houses that allow the sun to shine in and use 100% natural ventilation, except during the cold winter months when the hens need protection from the elements. The laying houses include comfortable nests where the hens can lay their eggs in seclusion and darkness since even hens like a little bit of privacy. Hens also enjoy roosting slats, similar to a tree and have free access to food and water so they can feast to their hearts desire. These hens are raised without antibiotics or hormones and are fed an all vegetarian diet. Egg size may vary, but each egg carton will contain either all large or all jumbo-sized eggs.

Organic birds are fed organic corn, organic soy, organic alfalfa, salt, limestone and a vitamin pack. Wheat is excluded from their diet.

From the early days more than half-century ago, Chino Valley Ranchers has been always been a family-owned company dedicated to bringing the freshest and best tasting eggs to your table. Consistent quality is our hallmark. In fact, for three generations now, our sole focus has been egg ranching (and nobody does it better). In 1959, they began acquiring chickens and producing our own eggs. Charles, wife Isabella and their three sons, David, Steve and Charles Jr., worked hard and used innovative methods to provide better care for their birds. One of these was taking the chickens out of their cages and placing nests directly on the floor, allowing the birds to walk around on their own. It marked the early beginnings of the “cage free” approach to raising chickens, which has become a standard in humane treatment within the industry. From those early days right through present day, they are (and have always been) proud to be cage free.
